Marbella FC suffered a defeat this afternoon in their match against Antequera CF. The Marbella side started strong but faded after a solid first half, lacking the finishing touch.

Coach David Cabello has opted to introduce several changes to the team, giving Luis Alcalde and Tomi a starting position in midfield and Pau Palacín at the point of attack.

The home team started the game fired up with several very dangerous attacks on the opposing area, although without ending with clear shots on goal defended by Dani Alcover.

The scare of the match came from a home fan who fainted in the stands 12 minutes into the game, requiring medical attention. Fortunately, it was just a drop in blood pressure and our fan recovered without any problems.

The youth player Tomi showed great qualities during the game, proving impenetrable in recovery and demonstrating very good skills with the ball at his feet.

In fact, a great run by Tomi ended with a through ball to leave Jorge Álvarez alone, but his shot was saved by Dani Alcover, who was outstanding in goal. The first half ended with Marbella playing better than their opponents.

At the start of the second half, Marbella had a couple of good chances with a shot from Luis Alcalde, which was somewhat weak, and a cross-shot from Eugeni, which Pau Palacín almost managed to finish.

David Cabello would soon make a change to the team, bringing on Adri Castellano and Rodri, in place of an injured Escassi and Pau Palacín.

However, luck continues to elude the team this season and in the 61st minute, Antequera managed to take the lead thanks to a shot from Luismi that hit the crossbar before beating Manu García.

Once again, the home coach introduced changes, bringing on Ohemeng first, and then Unai Buján and Du.

Antequera threatened again, but Manu García responded with a great save. The team tried, but lacked clarity in attack, preventing them from creating clear scoring opportunities.

Another home defeat leaves the team with 18 points in the standings and 16 games still to be played.
