Betis Deportivo spoils Marbella FC's return to Olguin

Marbella FC were unable to take anything positive from their match this afternoon against Betis Deportivo. The Marbella team managed to compete despite playing with ten men for almost an hour.

Coach Antonio Calderón has, right now, his starting lineup very clearly defined and has repeated the same lineup as seven days ago against Salerm Puente Genil.

The home team has been very solid throughout, and although they haven't been too inspired up front, the team has once again completed a great game in defense.

Facing them was a Betis Deportivo side that has always handled the ball with purpose, looking to finish with the speed of its attackers, although without hardly testing Bloch.

The match went into halftime goalless and with nothing of note, when just a few minutes before the break, Cristóbal received a straight red card in a tussle for position. A harsh dismissal that left the home side a man down.

Calderón made changes to the team after halftime, bringing on Tahiru and Fernando for Mizzian and Juanma. The aim was to strengthen the midfield and utilize the pace of the Ghanaian striker up front.

It was a hard-fought match that Marbella managed to control without suffering too much, and when needed, both the defenders and goalkeeper Bloch appeared successfully.

It seemed that the game would continue without goals, but a bad throw-in by Marbella allowed Betis Deportivo to run and take the lead with a great shot.

The match was getting complicated, and despite the final push from the home team to get the equalizer, it was the green and white team who finally made it 0-2 to close the match.

The best thing about the game, without a doubt, was the return of Marcos Olguin, who was able to play for about 15 minutes with good feelings.
