Marbella Football Club announces that Jesús Sánchez Japón has become our club's new sporting director.
Jesús Sánchez Japón (Coria, Seville; November 26, 1974) has extensive experience in club sports management: he was the youth team coordinator at Real Betis Balompié from 2012 to 2014, the year in which he became part of the technical secretariat of Sevilla FC alongside Monchi until 2017. His next step was the sports director of Real Valladolid for two seasons (2017/18 and 2018/19), in which the team achieved promotion to the First Division and its subsequent consolidation.
After his time at Pucela, Jesús Sánchez returned to Betis as the sports coordinator in the First Division (2019/2020 and 2020/21) and a year later to UD Ibiza in the Second Division. Last season, he served as technical secretary at CD Eldense.
Our new sporting director is a specialist in the First Federation and the profiles of national and international players who fit the category.
As a player, Jesús Sánchez was a Betis youth academy graduate and played in the elite with Recreativo de Huelva, Levante UD, and Valladolid, the latter club with which he played more than 100 First Division matches.
From Marbella FC we welcome Jesús and wish him every success.
