Marbella FC played a match to forget tonight against AD Alcorcón. Without luck and without accuracy, it was impossible to achieve anything positive.
The match started off badly for Marbella with Alcorcón's first goal five minutes into the game.
At 12 minutes, a shot inside the area deflected off Juan Rodríguez and surprised Fede Barrios. Luck was not on the side of the visiting team.
With hardly any attacks on the Alcorcón area, another unfortunate action resulted in Álex Martínez being sent off and Marbella were left with a man down with almost an hour of the game remaining.
Alexiel had the visitors' only shot on target, which was brilliantly saved by Gaizka Ayesa, but in stoppage time, another shot from Alcorcón, and a rebound off Jorge Álvarez, sent the game to halftime with a 3-0 score.
In the second half, Fede Barrios appeared at the start with a couple of good interventions, but the numerical superiority allowed the Madrid team to score two more goals.
With everything lost, Alexiel emerged as a key figure, scoring two extraordinary goals, one from a long distance and the other a header, making it 5-2 on the scoreboard.
In the final minute of regulation time, Alcorcón scored the decisive 6-2 to put a sad end to Marbella's last away game in 1ªRFEF.
