Marbella FC bids farewell to the 2025/26 season and the Primera RFEF this Friday after a tumultuous year. The Marbella side hosts CD Teruel in a completely inconsequential match, which is why the league has opted to schedule it separately. Marbella will welcome the Aragonese team at 6:30 PM at the Banús Football Center.
For this match, coach David Cabello has called up 21 players, with a large number of youth players: Manu García, Jorge Álvarez, Adri Castellano, Álex Carbonell, Eugeni Valderrama, Álex Gil, Pablo Moreno, Gabri Clemente, Adri Ruiz, Alexiel Dos Santos, Ernest Ohemeng, José Cambra, Lluís Llàcer, Juan Rodríguez, Alberto Escassi, Dani Selma, Carlos Navarro, Cristian Vasile, Egor Salikov, Iván Fernández and Diego Revuelta.
Statements by David Cabello
The team's coach, David Cabello, held his penultimate press conference of the season and stated that "we're approaching the match with the intention of giving our fans a victory. It won't do us any good, but I personally want to leave with that win."
In this regard, the Malaga coach acknowledged that "I am very disappointed with the result of the last match and, for us, although there is nothing at stake, it is a motivation to leave with that victory."
It's undoubtedly a difficult end to the season for a team that was relegated several weeks ago. Despite this, "we have to prepare this week to face the matches with confidence."
It will be a farewell match and also one in which "there will be new faces," as David Cabello pointed out, announcing that "we want to give the opportunity to the boys who have achieved that important goal" - referring to the promotion to the Honor Division.
He also emphasized the tribute that will be paid to the Juvenil A, Infantil A and Benjamín B teams before the start of the match, "it's a day for them to enjoy and for people to get to know those players who will be the next to wear this jersey."
Finally, he wanted to thank the fans for their support of the team throughout the season, "I want to send them encouragement and ask them to gather strength for next season, which has to be a successful season."
"A club without fans is nothing, and we are fortunate that our fans are with us and will be there to give us that boost to regain that positive energy and enthusiasm to build a great team," concluded David Cabello.
